Talking Stick Resort is a luxury hotel and casino resort located on the Pima Maricopa Indian Reservation in Salt-River near Scottsdale, Arizona. The hotel tower, designed by FFKR Architects, has 15 stories and stands at 200 feet and six inches. Talking Stick Resort is independently owned and operated by the Pima-Maricopa Indian Salt River Community (SRPMIC).

Total, Talking Stick Resort occupies 55.6 hectares with an additional 20 hectares for additional parking space. The 240,000-square-foot property includes a 98,000 square foot casino, 496 guest rooms, 21 meeting rooms, six entertainment rooms and five restaurants. It also contains a 25,000 square foot Grand Ballroom, a 13,000-square-foot spa, a fitness center, a 650 showroom and four swimming pools. In April 2014, Talking Stick Resort renovated its pool area, added a new pool lounge, and stage for outdoor concerts. The entertainers who have performed on the pool stage include Roger Clyne & amp; The Peacemakers, Collective Soul, 311 and Staind.

Histori

Before being opened as a Talking Stick Resort, the land is Casino Arizona 101 & amp; Indian Bend. Opened in 1999 with 332 slot machines and 45 table games. In 2003, the property expanded to include blackjack, poker, keno, and sports bar.

In September 2006, the land was damaged at the site of the Talking Stick Resort in the future. The Phoenix-based company, Chanen Construction Company, Inc. leading the development of the project.

Casino Arizona 101 & amp; Indian Bend remains open throughout the construction until the opening of the resort. The temporary structure that took place in Arizona Casino was then auctioned off due largely to its contents.

On April 15, 2010, the Talking Stick Resort opened on the former Arizona Casino site at 101 and Indian Bend. The official opening is on June 10th.

Hotel

The hotel has 496 deluxe rooms with 15 luxury suites and 30 executive king suites. The architectural design of the Talking Stick Resort reflects the Indian Salt River Pima-Maricopa Community through the use of genuine rocks, plants and earth-tone color schemes.

Gaming

The game floor of Talking Stick Resort covers 98,000 square feet. It includes over 700 slot machines, 54 Blackjack tables, Three Card Poker, Let It Ride and Lucky Ladies.

Talking Stick Resort is home to the ARENA Poker Room which has 49 poker tables including Texas Hold 'Em, 7-Card Stud and Omaha. The ARENA Poker Room also hosts the Arizona State Poker Championship and Arizona State Poker Women's Championship. Talking Stick Resort also offers KENO games in its KENO hall.

Show

Before the opening of Talking Stick Resort, Arizona Casino 101 & amp; Indian Bend is the first gaming facility to produce and broadcast its own sporting event titled, "We Got Your Game." The show airs over 200 episodes and features sports figures such as Troy Aikman, Amar'e Stoudemire, Steve Nash, Kyle Petty, Mike Tyson and Mike Ditka. Since 2011, Talking Stick Resort has hosted Phoenix Fashion Week.

Talking Stick Resort has five restaurants in all facilities including Orange Sky, Ocean Trail, Blue Coyote Cafà ©  ©, Wandering Horse Buffet, and Black Fig Bistro. There is also a Cultural Center in the hotel lobby featuring original American artwork, photographs, paintings and jewelry that reflect the heritage of Pima and Maricopa India.

This property is located in Talking Stick Cultural & amp; The entertainment district. Other nearby attractions include the Talking Stick Resort Golf Club, the Pavilions at Talking Stick Resort, the Butterfly Wonderland and the new Major League Baseball spring training complex, Salt River Fields at Talking Stick, which opened in 2011 and is the spring spring of Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies. On December 2, 2014, the venue will buy the naming rights of the former US Airways Center and re-brand it as Talking Stick Resort Arena by 2015.
