The Kingdom was a ghost town that existed in the early 1900s as a small coal mining town in Carbon County, Utah, United States. Originally named Bear Canyon , the city changed its name to Cameron , Rolapp , and finally Royal when the Royal Coal Company purchased it, renames every time a new owner takes over. What remains of the Royal today are several stone walls, several quarries, and a miner's quarters. These remains can be seen in Price Canyon.
Historian and writer Helen Z. Papanikolas was born here in 1917, during which time the city was known as Cameron.
