Rapid City Regional Airport (IATA: RAP , ICAO: KRAP , FAA LID: RAP ) is public airport usage , nine miles southeast of Rapid City, in Pennington County, South Dakota, United States.
It is included in the Federal Aviation Administration's Integrated Aviation Administration (FAA) for 2017-2021, where it is categorized as a primary non-hub commercial service facility.

The airport includes 1,655 acres (6,70 km 2 ) at an altitude of 3,203 feet (976 m). It has two runways: 14/32 is 8,701 with 150 feet (2,652 x 46 m) of concrete and 5/23 is 3.601 x 75 feet (1,098 x 23 m) asphalt.
By 2015 the airport has 42,989 aircraft operations, averaging 118 per day: 55% of general aviation, 27% air taxis, 10% military and 8% of airlines. In September 2017, there were 118 aircraft based at this airport: 87 single engines, 25 multi-engines, 5 jets, and 1 glider.
The terminal building opened in 1988; the $ 20.5 million expansion and renovation designed by TSP Architecture was completed in 2012. It includes 12,000 square feet of new floor space, the addition of three jet bridges and one departure gate, an extended security area with up to three lanes and body scanners , new rental car wings, additional seats in the concourse, larger toilets before and after security, modern phone and data systems, new flight information boards, food service and upgraded shopping areas on concourse, rooftop terrace and energy-saving windows and building exterior repairs.
