PayDay is a candy bar consisting of salted rolled beans in a caramel that surrounds a nougat center like a company. Currently produced by The Hershey Company favorites for celebrities like Norman Alden and Bob Hope.

History
PayDay was first introduced in 1932 by Frank Martoccio. Martoccio founded F.A. Martoccio Macaroni Company , and also later served as head of the Hollywood Candy Company. Hollywood also produces a ZERO bar. In 1938, Hollywood moved to Centralia, Illinois. In 1967, the Martoccio family sold the Hollywood Brand to Consolidated Food, which later became Sara Lee. The fire destroyed the Centralia factory in 1980. Production of the PayDay bar continued with the help of L.S. Heath and Sons Company until new facilities can be built. In 1988, the Hollywood Brand was acquired by the Leaf Company, and later became part of The Hershey Company in 1996.
PayDay variations include a limited edition of Honey-Bake in 2003, PAYDAY PRO, a high protein energy bar in 2005, and PayDay Chocolatey Avalanche, a chocolate-covered version, in 2007. For promotions in 1989, PayDays each contained one at a time. wrapped in nickel.

A PayDay is mentioned in Cheech & amp; Sketch of Chong Ralph and Herbie that appeared on the album Big Bamboo . Herbie noticed that Ralph had sat on something that clung to his fur and pulled him away. Ralph then asks what it is and Herbie says "I think it is PayDay"
During Monday Night Raw episode, R-Truth overhears Chris Jericho behind the stage talking on the phone discussing his contract, and specifies he wants his payday (ie that he wants time for his wages to come). R-Truth misunderstood and offers Chris a candy just to be shunned.
