Meridian School is a non-denominational private liberal arts school in Orem, Utah, serving students from pre-school to twelfth grade.
Founded in 1989, the school was founded because of the relocation of the private Waterford School from Provo, Utah, to the Salt Lake City metropolitan area leaving a vacuum in Utah County, Utah. In 2004, Meridian purchased a 14-acre private park from Geneva Steel, planned to build a school there, but its location lacked utilities, which hindered construction. In 2008, after 19 years in their first location, the Meridian School moved to Orem, Utah, renting the building from Christ Evangelical Church.
Schools were closed in 2010 due to financial problems and reduced registration. In 2011, the school reopened after undergoing a restructuring in which it received financial support from Align International Education Group, an international investment company. The school signed an agreement with Beijing High School No.4 to share the material.

Foundations
The Meridian School was founded in 1989. An abandoned vacancy in Utah County, Utah, after the private Waterford School moved from Provo, Utah to the Salt Lake City metropolitan area. The school was formed by some of Brigham Young University's professors, the closest entrepreneurs, and Waterford's parents. The school is headquartered in 931 E. Third North, formerly of the Waterford School location, and rented a building from the Roman Catholic Diocese of Salt Lake City. School chose his mascot as a mongoose because the mongoose "small but tough, fast and tenacious". For the school year 1989-1990, tuition fees are set at $ 2,500 per pupil and $ 2,000 for each subsequent sibling. The school aims to rely on volunteer parents and focus on liberal arts education. Serving students from preschool to twelfth grade, Meridian also teaches Mormon catechism students. Hal Miller was the principal when it opened in 1989, and Kevin Clyde took over as headmaster in 1991.
In 2004, Meridian purchased a private park on Geneva Road and Interstate 15 owned by a group of employees of Geneva Steel, Geneva Recreation, planning to relocate their campus there in 2005. Closing and reopening
In the late 2000s, about 10% of Meridian School students came from foreign exchange programs. The foreign students are mostly from Asia and Central America. In the 2009-2010 school year, 170 students attended school. But in the academic year 2010-2011, only 100 students were enrolled at the beginning of the year. The new headmaster Dan Smith, a Meridian School graduate, told the Daily Herald that 100 was a "fragile number" and that "it was beginning to change rapidly, we did see something like running in the bank." closed on August 19, 2010, due to financial problems and reduced student enrollment. In December 2010, parents announced their plans to reopen Meridian as a nonprofit school at a previous location in Provo with former Meridian part-time teacher Tasi Young as its leader. They believe that the nonprofit structure will be more sustainable than the nonprofit structure.
In the 2011-2012 school year, the school was restructured and reopened after receiving enduring financial support from Align International Education Group, an international investment company. Daniel Wong, a student father with international financial experience, contacted the school, pioneered the reopening, and joined Chinese teachers, parents, and employers. Meridian signed a "cooperative agreement" with Beijing High School No.4, a famous high school in China, where both schools will jointly use the materials. Meridian plans to hold student exchange programs, teacher exchange programs, and summer camps in China and the United States. About 20% of Meridian High School students in the first year of the agreement will be from China.
In the 2013-2014 school year, some Meridian teachers create a new school called Arches Academy. The new school moved from being a non-profit concentrated on international studies to nonprofit focus on local communities. Famous Alumni
- Fukuda's Time - founder and director of One Voice Children's Choir. In his second year of high school, Fukuda was selected to participate in a student exchange program at Meridian School. At school, he met with Brigham Young University's music professor, who impressed him with their strong teaching, convincing him to register at BYU.
