Lance James Henriksen (born May 5, 1940) is an American actor and artist, best known for his role in science fiction, action, and horror films such as Bishop in Alien film franchise, and Frank Black in the Fox Millennium television series. Henriksen is also famous for his voice acting, after voicing Kerchak the gorilla in the Walt Disney 1999 animated feature film Tarzan and Fleet Admiral Steven Hackett in BioWare's Mass Effect video game trilogy.

Henriksen was born in New York City. His father, James Henriksen, was a sailor and Norwegian boxer dubbed "Icewater" who spent most of his life at sea. Her mother, Margueritte Werner, struggled to find a job as a dance instructor, waitress, and model. His parents divorced when he was two years old, and only his mother raised him and his brother.
As he grew up, Henriksen developed a reputation for trouble in various schools, and even spent time at children's homes. His last due diligence at school was first class. He served in the United States Navy from 1955-58 and reached the rank of the Third Petty Officer.

Henriksen found work as a muralist and as a laborer on a ship. For the time being, he worked in Europe. When James Cameron wrote The Terminator (1984), he initially imagined Henriksen, whom he had worked with at Piranha II: The Spawning , playing the title role, cyborg. However, the role eventually goes to Arnold Schwarzenegger. Henriksen did appear in the film, in the supporting role of Sergeant Hal Vukovich.
Henriksen played the android Bishop, an artificial life form, in Aliens (1986, Cameron's other film) and Alien 3 (1992). Henriksen also portrays Charles Bishop Weyland (the man who became the bishop of android) in Alien 3 and Alien vs. Predator (2004). He plays vampire leader Jesse Hooker in the cult film Kathryn Bigelow Near Dark .

In 1996, Henriksen starred in the Millennium Television series, created and produced by Chris Carter, the creator of The X-Files . Henriksen plays Frank Black, a former FBI agent who has the unique ability to look into the minds of the killers. Carter created a special role for the actor. His performance at Millennium earned him critical acclaim, the People's Choice Award nomination for Favorite New Male TV Star, and three consecutive Golden Globe nominations for Best Performance by an Actor in the TV series (1997-1999). The series was canceled in 1999.
Another prominent franchise role was written specifically for Henriksen, although like The Terminator he did not perform this role. Victor Salva wrote Jeepers Creepers (2001) with Henriksen in mind for the Creeper role.
On television, Henriksen appeared in the ensemble of Into the West (2005), an executive miniature produced by Steven Spielberg. She appeared in a Brazilian soap opera, Caminhos do CoraÃÆ'§ÃÆ' £ o ( How To Heart ) from Rede Record, which aired in 2007-2008. Henriksen guested in Season 6 episode of NCIS played in Arizona sheriff, and appeared in a recurring role as The Major on NBC's The Blacklist.
In the years after the Millennium , Henriksen has become an active voice actor, lending his distinctive voice to a number of animation features and video game titles. At Disney's Tarzan (1999) and a live follow-up to the video, he is Kerchak, an ape who serves as Tarzan's successor father. He voted for Brainiac supervillain aliens in Superman: Brainiac Attacks (2006) and for the Mulciber character in Godkiller (2009). Henriksen is Molov's character voice in the Red Faction II video game (2002) and has also contributed to GUN (2005), Run Like Hell (2002 ), the canceled title Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse (2004), and the role-playing game Mass Effect (2007) as Admiral Hackett of the Guild Man System. Henriksen is also the voice behind the PlayStation 3 internet promotional video.
In 2005, Henriksen was the voice of Andrei Rublev on Cartoon Network IGPX . The actor lent his voice to the animated television series Transformers: Animated as the Lockdown character. In 2009, Henriksen voiced Lieutenant General Shepherd in the award-winning Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 game. He will then voice Karl Bishop Weyland at Aliens vs. Predator ; also, the appearance of this character resembles Henriksen. In this ad, Henriksen speaks as a Frank Black-type character about this phenomenon as Mark Snow's mysterious music inspired in the background, as a link to the Henriksen TV series Millennium . Unexplained proceeded to the world gold medal at the 2004 New York Festival.
In addition to television and sound acting work, Henriksen continues to be active in the film. She made a cameo appearance in the 2009 horror comedy Jennifer Body , and starred in the movie After Dark Horrorfest,
In January 2015, she was signed to lead in the indie thriller Monday at 11:01 pm.
In 2016, Henrikson starred in the feature film Deserted , a psychological thriller. Henrikson plays the role of Hopper.

Art
Henriksen continues to produce works of art. He worked as a muralist before he became an actor, and he has been working with clay since 1960. In September 2017, Henriksen created a website to showcase and find a home for some of his last clay work. He "still believes that nothing is as simple and beautiful as raw clay... And that the Potters have the remaining souls of the nomads... always looking..."
Personal life
Henriksen has been married three times. She married Mary Jane Evans from 1985 to 1989. She married Jane Pollack from 1995 to 2006. She later married Louise Lunde.
Henriksen has four children. Although not accredited, his daughter Alcamy appeared on the episode of the TV series Millennium . After Millennium ended its operation, Henriksen moved to Hawaii with his wife Jane Pollack and their daughter, Sage Ariel.
