Improved Transit is a regional intercity bus company in Utah, United States. The company stopped offering regular bus services on June 1, 2017. It used to connect the central, eastern and southeastern regions of the country (Carbon, Grand, Emery, Juab, San Juan, Sanpete and Sevier counties) with Wasatch Front, specially Provo and Salt Lake City. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Wasatch Transportation and is an official Greyhound Connect company.

Description
The Transit upgrade provides daily routes in both directions throughout its service area, plus several additional roundtrips Thursday through Monday. Its headquarters are located at 42 North 100 East, Suite 1 in American Fork. Its parent company, Wasatch Transportation, has (since 2016) been operating in Utah for nearly 30 years, but specializes in special needs and school transportation. The Elevated Transit slogan is HIGH STREET. Seats are the first to come, first served and smoking is prohibited in High Transit vehicles.
Bus lanes are made to provide bus services to the central, eastern and southeastern regions of the country that previously had no public transport. It started operations with substantial financial support from the Utah Transportation Department (UDOT) and Greyhound Lines. Between UDOT and Greyhound, Elevated Transit will receive $ 864,000 per year for the first five years of operation. According to CEO Steven Fuller, it is expected that initial funding will enable the company to grow "to the point that public funds are no longer needed and will be self-sustaining." This service is intended to connect with existing Greyhound services, as well as other transit systems along the route.
Current Fleet
The Elevated Transit fleet includes two 35-passenger bus models (Glaval Synergy and Thomas HDX) with three models each. The Synergy Glaval has a compartment that has the capacity to hold a limited number of bicycles. However, to anticipate some passengers wishing to transport a bicycle to the Moab area, the bus has the ability to pull the bike trailer. Thomas HDX models are most commonly used for school buses, but are sometimes modified (as for High Transit) for commercial transport. Both buses have Wi-Fi, available satellite TV, toilet, wheelchair access, extra space for luggage and bicycles

History
The past decade, Greyhound provides a wider bus service in rural Utah than at present, but most of these routes were abandoned years ago. Over the next few years, replacement services have been sought and the proposed bus service is nearing realization in 2012. This service will be provided by Salt Lake Express, however, the proposal fails when the Salt Lake Express bus can not meet the American standards required by Disabilities Act THERE IS). The contract reopens for bidding, with a proposal from Wasatch Transportation accepted. About a year later, the new subsidiary (Elevated Transit) receives its transport license on October 3, 2013.
After several false starts, the Transit Enhancement began operations on August 13, 2014. The initial plan was to start operations in late April, then mid-June, but the bus does not start running until August. The slower planned start is due, in part, to the late delivery of the vehicle. During the first three days of operation August 13-15), passengers are allowed to ride free tariffs to encourage familiarity with the service as well as identify possible problems with the service ("beta testing").
In 2015, Transit Improvement was awarded the Best Brand Design by the American Institute of Graphic Arts. The company logo and brand design was developed with the help of Cocoa Productions (Midway, Utah).
Future plans
Improved Transit anticipates providing fast package services in the near future.
