History

In 2007, TOSH and USANA Health Sciences formed an informal research partnership. In 2009 this partnership was inaugurated, and both entities started formal collaborative research.

In 2009, TOSH adapted one of its performance labs for football players. High-speed cameras analyze the movements of players who kick the soccer ball and give feedback on the movement and position of the foot. Specially designed goggles with built-in strobe lights train eyes that are often overlooked with fast moving balls. Nike's visual training system, one of only 20 in the country, is also used to strengthen peripheral vision.

In July 2010, TOSH and USANA Health Sciences announced the launch of two new vitamin studies. The first study was to determine whether Vitamin D can reduce post-exercise muscle weakness in physically active young people. The second study involved patients in TOSH with an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury to find a free therapeutic approach to increase muscle strength in post-operative patients using both Vitamin C and Vitamin E. This study was part of a research partnership between two entities that started in the year 2007 and formalized in 2009. USANA provides pharmaceutical grade supplements for both studies, as well as providing partial funding for ACL studies.

In 2010, TOSH reopened & amp; Center of the Neck designed to rapidly assess back and neck pain, including necessary diagnostic imaging services. The main problem is diagnosed at this Center and then the patient is passed to a specialist near their residence.
