Ceramic salt , also called Victoria salt clay is a traditional salt-based modeling medium.

Composition
This is a dry air modeling clay, which is generally made in the kitchen by combining a portion of corn starch with two parts of table salt and heated and stirred until it becomes stiff like the consistency of the dough. Then placed on wax paper to cool before squeezing.

Coloring
The clay is white, but it is often colored by mixing the color of the food or paint after being stirred.
Technique
Ceramic salt dries to texture like rough stone, and is so often used in people's crafts and children's art. Like other dry modeling compounds, they are not suitable for liquids containing liquids.
The popular use of salt ceramics includes making jewelry and Christmas ornaments.
In making jewelry, it can be rolled into a ball and formed into beads, or pressed into various shapes. In making the Christmas decoration it is sometimes made into a ball, similar to the process of making a bead, or rolled out with a rolling pin and cut with a cake cutter and painted.
Finishing
It takes about two days for the objects to dry. Known to take the paint well, after hardened. It is often coated with acrylic, after hardening, to protect it from moisture.

- Chilled porcelain resin uses bicarbonate soda instead of salt. Preferably by some people who do not like to work with salt. Also known as kitchen clay crafts, it's been around since at least the 1960s.
