Smith's Ballpark (formerly known as Franklin Quest Field , later Franklin Covey Field and later Spring Mobile Ballpark ) is a small league baseball park in the western United States, located in Salt Lake City, Utah. This is the home field of Salt Lake Bees from Triple-A Pacific Coast League and Utes Utah college of the Pac-12 Conference.
Smith's Ballpark opened 24 years ago in 1994 with a seating capacity of 15,400, the largest in PCL. It is located on the site of its predecessor, Derks Field, with an orthodox-like southeastern alignment, toward the Wasatch Range. The altitude on the road surface is 4,230 feet (1,290 m) above sea level.

In its inaugural season in 1994, Buzz set a record of PCL attendance with 713,224 fans. The PCL lead team is present in each of its first six seasons in Salt Lake. The biggest crowd in the baseball stadium was 16,531 in 2000; Saturday night's opponent is the Albuquerque Dukes on July 22nd.
In addition to hosting the Salt Lake Bees, Smith's Ballpark has hosted two exhibition matches featuring the Minnesota Twins, a spring training game featuring the Seattle Mariners and Colorado Rockies, concerts, football games and baseball games of schools and colleges, including a mountain. West Conference Tournament.
The ballpark has hosted Triple-A All-Star Game twice. In 1996, an All-Stars team affiliated with the National League beat their American league opponents, 2-1. Todd Walker Salt Lake was selected as PCL MVP. The game returned to the park in 2011 with the International League All-Stars beating the PCL team, 3-0.
After a 15-year naming rights agreement Franklin Covey ended in 2009, an agreement with Spring Mobile, AT & amp; T Mobility authorized retailers, making the name roughly Spring Mobile Ballpark for five seasons.
In March 2014, it was announced that Smith's Food and Drug in Salt Lake City had signed a naming rights agreement for six years, naming his current park.

Features
Smith's Ballpark has one of the biggest top decks in the minor leagues, which is unusual outside the majors. The average also contains 24 luxury suites on the third level along with two private party terraces.
Smith's Ballpark is famous for its stunning views of the Wasatch Mountains on the left and the central field wall.
Name rights
When the baseball stadium opened in 1994, it was called Franklin Quest Field, where Franklin Quest Company paid $ 1.4 million for 15 years for naming rights in the summer of 1993. The name changed its name to Franklin Covey Field in 1997 after the Franklin Quest joined the Covey Leadership Center, became Franklin Covey.
In 2009, Bees announced on April 7 that it had reached a multi-year naming agreement with Spring Mobile (AT & T authorized retailer of Salt Lake City) to provide a new name from Spring Mobile Ballpark that ran for five seasons. In 2014, Smith's Food and Drug signed a six-year agreement to rename Smith's Ballpark.
