Histori
From 1882 to 1890 the Relief Society and the Austerity Society, the predecessor of the modern Young Women of the LDS Church, jointly operates the Deseret Hospital. This is the ideological first ideologue of LDS Hospital.
It was not until 1905 that an institution that could be linked to direct history to the hospital was now established. This is the W. H. Groves LDS Hospital, named after W. H. Groves, an LDS dentist who was an immigrant from England and left a large sum of money on his death to start the hospital. From 1913 to 1922, the hospital had a children's ward that was later separated and became the precursor of the Primary Children's Medical Center. The current building at the original hospital venue was opened in 1984.
