The Latter Day Church of Christ is a fundamentalist denomination of Mormons in the Latter-day Saint movement. Also known as Kingston Clan or Kingston Group , this is part of The Order , or Davis County Cooperative , and The Co-op Society . There are about 3,500 members of this group.

Establishment
The church was founded in 1978 by Ortell Kingston, then head of the County Davis Urban Cooperative, a cooperative organized as the United Order on January 1, 1935 and incorporated in 1941 as a legal cooperative. The Latter Day Church of Christ is based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
In 1926, Charles W. Kingston became disillusioned with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) for his neglect of plural marriage. Kingston began teaching polygamy among members of the LDS Church and distributing pamphlets and books, Manasseh Victorious's Page: The Message of Salvation and Redemption for His People Israel, First for Ephraim and Manasseh, which he had co-authored. This ultimately resulted in the excommunication of the LDS Church in 1929. In 1935, after the excommunication of the LDS Church, they moved to Bountiful one family at a time with a view to living in the United Order as defined by Joseph Smith in the Doctrine and Covenants. On February 7, 1941, the community founded by Charles Elden Kingston officially declared themselves as the Davis Urban Cooperative Society. The corporation produces goods and services used by members, and sold or traded to other cooperatives and to the public. Seeing the need for a church within the Cooperative, in 1977, Ortell Kingston began to apply for legal recognition of the church which was later organized as the End Times Church of Jesus.

Finance
For decades, Cooperatives have maintained extreme secrecy while developing a broad cooperative system with assets with unconfirmed value of more than $ 150 million. Their secrecy comes from the fear of being arrested for undergoing plural marriage, dating from 1959-1960 while being investigated by the Great County Davis Jury, which they claim is governed by LDS Apostles Mark E. Peterson & Spencer W. Kimball.
Financial ownership includes: 300 dairy cattle ranches (1.2 km) in Davis County; a 3,200-acre (13 km) farm in Tetonia, Idaho; a coal mine in Emery County; and 1,200 acres (4.9 km 2 ) in Terreton, Idaho; cattle farms and discount stores; Desert Tech Firearms; Renewable Energy Washakie; grocery store; restaurant supplies in many western cities including Tucson, Phoenix, Denver, Las Vegas, Boise and Portland. It has been rumored that it's owned by United Bank, but this has now been confirmed as wrong. J. Ortell Kingston is aggressively pursuing a broad financial agenda for Davis County Cooperative Society Inc.

The Davis County Cooperative Society claims to defend the original beliefs and teachings of Joseph Smith. It started the practice of plural marriage shortly before the formation of the cooperative. Members of the Church of Christ The End Times are members of the County Davis Community Cooperative (a separate legal entity) practicing the law of consecration and the United Order.
During the first years of County Davis County Cooperative, Kingston and his followers were wearing unique outfits that led people to call them "blue coat." Men and boys wear blue coverall type clothes tied with ropes; girls and girls wearing a plain blue dress. As a symbol of their rejection of earthly goods, outer garments do not contain pockets where goods can be carried, though then a pockets inside are provided for sanitary measures carrying handkerchiefs. All went without a hat and barefoot.
Society practices plural marriage. In Utah there are many legal issues; there are a number of charges brought against members of the community, but only three beliefs have resulted in more than 60 years.
Following Brigham Young's Doctrine on January 27, 1860: "I am the Lord of these men and so also whoever is appointed to lead Israel or the kingdom of God." If people reject it, they reject the person who sent it. , Charles W. Kingston taught that " Every individual... no matter what authority, position, or place he is, is responsible for the above on the exact same way as if the individual were his own Savior.... We must look upon us above in the same light as we see the Savior. "This doctrine is known as the One-Law above-the other. The Church emphasizes family values, education, and independence, and members believe that every child is an invaluable blessing. Children are allowed to attend public schools and many continue to college. The Church recently established a private school, with almost all children present.
Controversy
Intra-family marriage
Following the Early LDS Prophetic Teachings, Brigham Young: "I believe in Sisters who marry brothers, and brothers have their sisters to Wives.", Kingstons has been accused of incest. But they believe to seek God's direction in marriage. The former member, who had no knowledge of early LDS teachings on the subject, claimed that the theory of genetics was developed at Kingston Dairy, owned by the co-op in Woods Cross, Davis County, Utah, and that the use of these theories encouraged inbreeding close relatives to "perfect" the Kingston bloodline. The marriages, if proven, can be considered illegal under Utah's dictates. Connie Rugg, a former member, stated: "Ortell Kingston experimented [with] inbreeding with her livestock, and then she turned to her children." Although former members make such claims, the members themselves claim to follow the "Direction" or personal revelation from God in determining their spouse.
Some examples include:
- LDCC member Jason Ortell Kingston married his stepson, Andrea Johnson, who became pregnant in 1992. He suffered from preeclampsia (toxemia) before being taken for medical treatment. C-section surgery was done to save the baby, but Andrea died. Utah state officials believe that obstetric care is being held because the possibility of an incestuous relationship will be found.
- Jeremy Ortell Kingston was sentenced to one year in prison in 2004 for taking LuAnn Kingston, who is his cousin and aunt, as his fourth wife in 1994. At the time of marriage, Jeremy was 24 years old, and LuAnn was 15 years old.
- LDCC member David O. Kingston married Mary Ann Kingston, 15, who tried to escape but was arrested by his father. Mary counted 28 lashes before fainting. He was arrested and pleaded "no contest" on charges of child abuse and served seven months in jail. David O. Kingston was convicted of incest and violated the law and sentenced to 10 years in prison, where he served only 4 years. Mary Ann then filed a $ 110 million lawsuit against members of the Kingston Clan, accusing the deliberate sexual abuse of a child and the deliberate suffering of emotional distress, but the lawsuit did not persist in court.
Child marriage
It is believed that the Church of Christ's Past, for a period, married daughters only reached puberty, non-members and former members who claimed that the Kingston Clan leaders who claimed "pure lineage" were given priority over almost all members when choosing plural wife. It is believed by some that girls as young as 13 are forced to marry as new wives.
However, Charles W. Kingston in his autobiography denied all of these claims stating: "... concluded in a news clippings and in public greeting that the Davis County Cooperative Institute is [G] uilty of 1 - Living from Help 2 - Marrying a girl -the teenage girl, two of the worst-cursed worst practices... The Cooper Cooper Society will show that more than fifty-one percent who joined, were removed from the relief scrolls and put in a position to make their own lives, thus saving Government and State more than two hundred thousand dollars in relief money in the last 25 years.The second claim is equally absurd and unreasonable as the first. "
Financial fraud
As stated in newspaper articles some families have been found living in unsanitary conditions. Often in the past, member houses consisted of small, boarded-up houses with peeling paint and broken windows. Connie Rugg, a former member, stated: "The people in the Kingston group do little or nothing to support many wives and their children". Sometimes the wife will "go gardening", scavenging garbage cans to provide food for their children and themselves.
Although this claim has been made, it has been found that the Davis County Cooperative has almost zero unemployment and most children attend college, earning degrees in science, engineering, and medical fields. Members claim that as a result of the Great Depression, families are taught to focus on saving and working for DCCS-owned businesses to be added to the United Order warehouse, which leads to many shortcomings in home maintenance for a time in the past. But a team within the group, called "Housewife in Zion" has been organized to help members defend their homes in acceptable social standards.
The Church of the End Times has also been accused of being involved in welfare fraud and tax evasion. Members have a larger family, typical of older Mormon teachings. John Ortell Kingston was accused of tax evasion and fraudulently earned welfare by asking his wives to claim as single mothers. Ortell's wealth is estimated at $ 70 million. In 1983, Utah sued Ortell Kingston for the reimbursement of the welfare subsidy his plural wives received. Despite not admitting the error, Ortell paid $ 250,000 and the case was canceled.
In 2016, the State of Utah with Federal law enforcement stormed various properties in connection with the Kingston family or the Davis County Cooperative Agency for the purpose of seeking Welfare Fraud. The state of Utah states: "It was a special investigation that we were approached by the FBI to participate." However, after 2 years of investigating, they did not find Welfare Fraud. "State researchers found no fault among members of the County Davis Society Cooperative, also known as Kingston Group."
