Flip Men is an American reality television series starring Mike Baird and Doug Clark premiered on Spike on October 25, 2011, and lasts for two seasons. The next series are Baird and Clark when they buy a foreclosed home at auction, remodel the house and sell it for a profit back.

History

Neighbors introduced Clark to producer Danny Thompson, who helped Clark and Baird make a video of their efforts as a professional household, in the online series titled Foreclosure Boys . They created about 90 videos over an 18-month period, which led to the introduction of Dave Broome (creator of The Biggest Loser ), who will continue to create and produce Flip Men executives . At that time, there was a surplus of foreclosed homes in the market, following the financial collapse of 2008.

Flip Men premiered on Spike on October 25, 2011. This was taken for the second season on January 31, 2012, with the second season premiering on August 5, 2012. The final episode airs in the US on September 23, 2012. On January 10, 2012, Electus announced that it has secured the series to be broadcast internationally. The first series aired in Australia on One in October 2012. On January 7, 2014, the series began airing on Dave in the UK.

Shot at a location in and around Salt Lake City, Utah, a half-hour series that was not written following Clark and Baird when they bought a foreclosed home at an offer auction and promptly fixed it to get them back on the market and make a profit. They also renovate and hold some houses, waiting for their value to rise further. They have no legal right to enter the house until they win the house at auction. When entering the house for the first time, they often have to kick the door down, because the houses are not equipped with a lock. The items Clark and Baird found in the house included thousands of bees, wedding dresses, vehicles and television sets, as well as a house that was once a meth lab. They are able to make quick purchasing decisions based largely on their understanding of a particular environment and their values. When a foreclosed home is not sold at auction, it is almost always subject to bank repossession, widely perceived as a negative result because banks are usually slower to reverse the foreclosed properties.

Host

Clark and Baird have contrasting personalities, with Clark more spontaneous and impulsive, while Baird is more cautious and analytical. They often disagree over the risks involved in various properties. Before Flip Men , they bought and sold about 750 homes in the Salt Lake City area.

Doug Clark

Clark was born and raised in Murray, Utah. After graduating from the University of Utah with a degree in economics and science, he became a commercial airline pilot for SkyWest Airlines. As a pilot, he finds himself with lots of free time, and becomes interested in learning more about the real estate business. After meeting Baird at a real estate auction, they formed the Equity Capital Group in 2005. Clark continued to work as a part-time pilot until 2011, when he decided to focus solely on real estate. Since 2005, its companies Equity Capital Group and Clark Venture Capital have bought nearly $ 50 million in property. Clark says that while location is the most important factor in real estate, the most important factor in flipping is price.

Mike Baird

Baird grew up in San Diego, California, and graduated from the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University with a BA in business management in 2002. He then began studying home care and home improvement, and began investing in real estate. He is the owner of Baird Property Investment and Equity Capital Group. Together with his colleague, Greg Herlean, Mike also leads Property Bank Education, a series of national real estate investment seminars for potential investors.
