Dumb and Dumber is a 1994 American comedy film directed by Peter Farrelly, who co-wrote scenarios with Bobby Farrelly and Bennett Yellin. Starring Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels, it tells the story of Lloyd Christmas (Carrey) and Harry Dunne (Daniels), two notorious but well-intentioned friends from Providence, Rhode Island who set off on a cross-country trip to Aspen, Colorado to return the full suitcase money to the owner, thinking it was abandoned as a mistake but actually abandoned as a ransom. Production
Farrelly Brothers have been trying for years to make their first movie made, and it was only when Director's agent Peter Farrelly encouraged him to make his own film along with his brother Bobby.
