Early career and Things We Do to Find People Who Feel Like Us (2013-2015)

Slang Beach was formed in June 2013. In June, 2014 they played their first live show and released EP 7 "titled Who Will Want Anything So Broken? via Broke Dead Records They followed the release in October 2014 with a second supplementary game titled Thrills Murah on The Dead End Road via Tiny Engines.South Slang started with a live lineup, lead guitarists, Spencer Dorsey from No Summer and Dan Metzker band from The Danger O's band. in February 2015, Beach Slang released a split along with five other bands entitled "Strength in Weakness" through Lame-O Records.

In April 2016, Beach Slang apparently broke up on stage at a show in Salt Lake City. James told the crowd it was their last show and asked for a place to refund the tickets. Ruben crashed his guitar and went off the stage during the incident. More than a month later, drummer JP Flexner was removed from the band after being blamed for causing a slump on stage in Salt Lake City. Recorded with Flexner, before his departure, the band released their second studio album, A Bash of the Fun of Teenage Feelings , in September 2016.

In October 2016, the band parted ways with guitarist Ruben Gallego amid allegations of sexual assault. In December, the band officially replaced Flexner and Gallego with two new members: former Mean Creek guitarist Aurore Ounjian and former Afghan Whig and Cursive drummer Cully Symington. In October 2017, Alex released EP We Were Babies & amp; We are Dirtbags, which contains 4 acoustic rework of previously released songs. In March 2018 Symington and McNulty left the band. In May 2018, the band's old manager, Randy Nichols left the band.

Previous band

Frontman James Alex (formerly known as James Snyder) was previously a member of the Weston band between 1992 and 2011, and the Cordova Academy Glee Club during 2005-2009. Bass guitarist Ed McNulty is a member of Crybaby from 2012 to 2015. Former drummer JP Flexner previously was a member of the Ex Friends band from 2011 to 2014, and No Summer from 2013 to 2014. Ruben Gallego was previously a member of the Glocca Morra band.
